JENNIFER DAY

FOR SECRETARY OF STATE

The Secretary of State is charged with overseeing and protecting the electoral process across Kansas.

As a businesswoman, community leader, and public servant, what drives me every single day is opportunity. The opportunity to build a better life, to start a business, to participate in Democracy.

My passion lies in helping people seize and expand their opportunities.

BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES

With 16 years of business experience in technology, real estate, and finance, I understand firsthand the challenges that both small and large businesses face. I’ve also experienced the rewards of entrepreneurship: building a small real estate investment firm and founding my own interior design company.

Service has always been at the core of what I care about. Through volunteering with the League of Women Voters, seven years as an election worker getting to observe the process up close, and representing House District 48 in the Kansas Legislature, I’ve seen how compassion, collaboration and a commitment to integrity can create real change.

These experiences have deepened my belief in opportunity for all, and as your Secretary of State I plan to fight every day for those hard-won opportunities.

VOTING SHOULD NOT BE A PARTISAN ISSUE

The act of voting should not be a partisan political issue. It’s a fundamental right and a civic duty that should be available to every eligible citizen.

As a State Representative, I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with leaders at both the federal and state levels who spread lies and disinformation about our elections, creating confusion and eroding trust in the process. As Secretary of State, I will work to shut down disinformation, instill the electorate with a newfound sense of confidence, and ensure that voters have the information they need to make an informed decision at the ballot box.

MY VALUES

SAFE, SECURE AND ACCESSIBLE.

As Secretary of State, I will wake up every day with those three core values in mind.

Every Kansan deserves to have the utmost confidence in their right to vote, the security of our elections, and the ease of starting and operating a business.

PROTECTING ELECTION INTEGRITY

Kansans deserve confidence in the security and transparency of their elections. My plan is to ensure our voting systems remain accurate, reliable, and free from political influence, disinformation and fearmongering.

By strengthening transparent communication with the public and coordinating with county election officials, we can secure each and every ballot cast, and restore trust in the process that sustains our fragile democracy.

GUARDING YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE

Voting should be easy, accessible, and secure for every eligible Kansan. Safeguarding this fundamental right is central to my campaign, and that begins with increasing public participation.

As Secretary of State, I will direct my office to look at states with higher levels of voter turnout, and investigate how we could implement similar processes here to bring more people off the sidelines and encourage civic engagement.

REMOVING BARRIERS FOR BUSINESS

Government should improve the ease of running a business, rather than create barriers to success. As Secretary of State, I will fight to make it easier than ever to start and operate a business in Kansas.

That begins with continuing and expanding programs to modernize and streamline the registration process, ensuring founders have clear guidance and timely support. By cutting through the bureaucracy, we can empower innovation, strengthen local economies, and help our small businesses thrive.
